Unmanifested

Patrons came to see a popular play

A grand stage of stillness and pondering

Scene 1

I heard one actor called ‘Love’ pining for its unmanifested twin-‘Fear’

Fear looked resentful

I needed you, love

But you turned away

I am here, love said

Fear raised itself, towering over love

It changed expressions

From begging to grudging

I will find new friends’ said fear

And walked away

We the audience expected Fear’s mind games

Scene 2

Love sought advise from actors called seekers

They preached some similar hearsay

A certain ‘Good’ talking about its twin ‘evil’

Evil- was under nourished and on a whim to change its unmanifested form to great

Evil hated waiting to be acknowledged

Now evil crazily craved

They both seek non duality

Without one, the other can’t be praised

‘We were once undecipherable’

We lived so close

In hearts, nature, values and patterns

So many claps for good

Caused ‘otherness’ and

Finally separated them

Scene 3

Love changed company

From seeker it move to earth looking skywards

Love noticed light and it’s shadow

Shadow like fear

Hoping for acceptance

To merge and fuse

Away from the judgement of audience

This noise of claps

Divide and separate

Love agreed with fear

Light was once conceived in shadow

And shadow still can’t stop dancing with its light

They both want to transcend for the love

The audience lost in enactment

Forgot to notice the play-writer

They choose favourites

And separated the artists

The play continues

The rebel continues

Until one audience closed its eyes

Play that seems real never happened

Clarity – play- writer’s assistant

Stood sides besides her

Why did I watch this play

Juggling craving and aversions all through

The Audience storms out with heavy heart

Their Favouritism could not control

Who they see more of

Aversion couldn’t control

Who they less of

Amidst the empty hall, The twins smiled

Enjoy the show, they whispered

Audience completely confused reaches home and prayes

In states of surrender the show stopped in their minds

Someone spoke

what did you learn?

I am all notions and biases

Suddenly, the play writer speaks from inside of the audience

look in

Look in

You couldn’t wish them closer or away

But try looking for longer

For some time,

In audience’s minds the twins washed away

Scene 4

Then the audience found a play writer’s lens

Strong urge arose

Clean the lens

It seems while cleaning the lens might open up

And the audience would pass through

Those actors that played the audience

We clapped and booed on cue

For the amusement of play writer watching us

But We were the play

Last scene

The play- writer goes unmanifested again

A voice inside the audience speaks

Keep looking for a sign when the curtains blurs

Closer than you know

The play writer still awaits
